What Model progressive
« on: June 22, 2014, 03:44:32 PM »
I just got a S2000 slot and it came with a progressive sign.  when I plugged in the power for the sign I was getting com error message, but was not worried about them.  I just wanted to get the slot running.  The slot was up and running for about 3 - 4 hours and the message on the progressive sign went away.  Now I only get a few lights across the top.  See photos.  I was wondering if someone could identify what type of progressive this is and what might be wrong.  I checked all of the caps on the board and they look good.

thanks
Gary

If your going to use a Cham II make sure it's a Cham II+ or it says Cham II stand alone.
A regular Cham II will not work without a controller on IGT machines.

Will a Charm out of a bally 6000 work in an IGT S2000?  I have one that came out of a Bally?

If it's on an IGT S2000, I would just get a spectrum display, a lot easier to program and you don't need more power supplies and controllers to clutter your top box, just the cable between the display and the netplex distribution board.

As long as it's a Cham II+ it will work. Also with a chamII+ you can have scrolling messages along with the jackpot total..
Hook up is a little different than the Bally but it should work just fine. Check the Mikhon progressive section for hook up instructions.

I found the wiring diagram and made the modifications.  I am able to program the sign using the PSP, set the default JP and setup a simple scrolling message.  Now, I have searched the old site and this site, but I can not find what the sign configuration should be and the S2000.  Does anyone have the settings for both?

Thanks!

Not sure what exactly your looking for but this link should have all the settings you need.
http://newlifegames.com/nlg/index.php?topic=739.0
When you set up the scrolling message in the jackpot.do did you wipe out the stuff that was already in the file? If you did that was the command to put the jackpot on the display.

Hope this helps
Please list any other questions
