CEI 904 version 23.9 question
« on: January 09, 2017, 10:17:50 AM »
I want to increase the number of credits the machine will hold and accept. Currently the limit is 100. I downloaded a 10 page manual for the machine. On page 8 (photo attached) it says there are 4 dipswitches and credits can be set of 100, 400, 800, 1,600.

But my game board only has 3 dipswitches, each having 8 switches. Dipswitch 1, position 1 is off and dipswitch 2 position is on and my machine holds 100 credits.
Not sure if I’m reading the chart properly or if the chart is accurate. Does anyone have any information on this situation and how I can increase the number of credits?

With no credits on the game and the door open can you tap the test button and go into learn mode. From there you can page down and cursor to the credit limit and change it.

with no credits, when I tap the test button this screen comes up. Again max credits is 100, want to increase to 1,000. Also when machine has credits it will not accept more coins, would like to be able to add coins to continue play and increase credits on machine.

I don't think you can continue to add coins once the maximum amount of credits is in the machine. At least mine won't.
I'm not sure how to increase max to 1000, but hopefully Alan will reply soon. If not I can check on own machine.

here are some of the board pics of my 904.

My other CEI with a mother board 911, 906 III Turbo + holds 1,000 credits and still accepts coins to play until 1,000 credits are reached.

I know it isnt required but i would cover the windows on the eproms so they don't accidentally get erased (uncommon)

Dip Switch Settings

Credit Max
SW1  SW2
On   / On   = 100 Credits
Off   / On   = 400 Credits
On   / Off   = 800 Credits
Off   / Off   = 1600 Credits

Max Per Play
SW3  SW4

On   / On   =  5 Credits
Off   / On   = 10 Credits
On   / Off   = 40 Credits
Off   / Off   = 80 Credits

Thanks,
Justin

I see what you are saying. The information I had didn't specify switch set 3 or at least I didn't notice it. Will try that. Thanks

Thanks baud. Using switch bank SW2 - Justin had 1 on and 2 off, I had the same as him. Your information has 1 open (or off ?) and 2 closed (on ?) Which is the opposite?

Also one more time on this. As soon as my machine has any credits of 10 more, my coins are locked out, I can no longer play coins and must start playing off the credits. I want to continue playing coins and let my credits build up until I reach the maximum as with my other 2 machines that I have. Not sure how to set this.

also tapping the test button didn't take me into the learn mode on this machine. Any other ideas how I can access the learn mode for setting up the machine?
