Are you needing to set the machine up, the limits etc? If so we need the SP chip number so you can get the correct PSR. To do that, push the test button until a 4 shows in the coins played display. 2 sets of numbers will show. One is the SP (game) chip number and the other will be the SS (reel) chip number. If that's what you're needing, let us know the SP chip number and we'll get you fixed up. If you just want the error codes for the machine, here's a link to that.

The numbers are "Winners Paid" = 3441 and "Credits"  0872.  I need to set the machine up as it is paying out after every win.  Thanks,  Terry

Terry, I will attach the PSR for the SP872. Now on some chips if you push the cash out button it will go to credits then. This feature is not available on all game chips though. Just thought I'd throw that in. If you're not used to PSRs, read it a couple of times, if needed. Let us know if this gets you going.

Well I printed it out and have read it a couple of times but it is pretty confusing.  Rob (Cowboy Games) is a good friend and lives in the same town as I do.  He is my mentor but I was trying to do this on my own.  I hate having to call him about everything.  Do I need to set the dip switches first then set the codes?  I want the machine not to pay out credits over $100 and to put all wins to credits until the cash out button is pushed.  I will read this some more before I try anything as I can be my own worst enemy.
Thanks,   Terry

Terry, In this S+ section you will see a long list of "how to's" Use the home settings for 1271. Easy to understand as long as 872 is similar. I think it is. I use the guide for all S+ machines with no problem.

What I've done with mine (different SP chip) is set the dip switches to set the hopper limit (I do mine much lower 20 quarters) then set the limits (codes) so all pays go to the credits. That way if I accidentally hit the cash out button, not too many coins come out. Although it goes to a hand pay and you lose the credits. Less what was paid out. I don't keep a lot of coins in mine.  You may still want to talk to Rob about this, as some of these older SP PSRs are some times confusing. Try it yourself but don't get discouraged, these are not like something regular people are used to dealing with. I found after a little bit and a couple of tries and reading the PSR again it started to make sense. But don't be afraid to ask for help..........That's what we all are here for.
