First was low battery error. Fixed. Tested battery is giving 3.6 volts. I have powered the machine back on and get a call attend door open cmos error.  I have read a million threads on this issue but I cant clean any of the errors.  I hold the little white button that barely moves and held it for 5 seconds shut the door. Turned the jack pot key and nothing. I have done that 1 hundred times. With the door open and holding in the white button  nothing seems to happen. No ding no screen flicker no diagnostic screen.  I am ready to go crazy.  I have adjusted the sound wheel

Looks like your first post, Welcome to NLG!

Perhaps your little white button (Test/Diagnostic) switch is bad? Can you put a meter on its terminals and see if it is working? As you said, with the door open when you press the white button the screen should go to the Test and Setup screens. If you are not seeing this happen then maybe the white button switch is bad, or it is not connected or possibly something is going on with your mpu board. See if you can verify the white button switch is ok and its wires do go somewhere and are connected.

Might be good to check the power supply also, and its fuses, but with the display screen showing the "Call Attendant" message that makes me think the mpu board is running, which I believe would mean the power supply is ok.

Was this machine working ok at one time, then failed? What is background history on the machine, that will help us to narrow down possibilities.

And please post a photo of the machine, just so we can make sure it is a PE+, believe it or not there is sometimes confusion about this. We don't want to be making assumptions and find out later you have a similar but different model machine.

.....
Also, this thread might be better in the PE+ forum for better visibility, more likely to get advice?

A moderator moved it, thanks.  -knagl

You should feel a small "click" when you depress the white Self Test button.  If you don't, the switch may be bad.  As rokgpsman said, the next thing to try would be with the power off to test for continuity on the switch terminals to see if the button is completing a circuit when you press it.

Also, does the "Door Open" message go away when you close the door?

I have had the same problem on both of my machines I just shorted out the connectors with a pice of wire going to each other with a in line switch for when the door is open and you need to do a ram reset on the machine after you fix the door first pull the board find the chip labeled ram pull it out then put it back in re install the board hold the self test button for 3 to 5 seconds until you hear a beep then close the door and turn the atendent key
