Some of the games listed will play fine stand alone, however some are IPC and will not play.


It would be nice if you listed what is what  ---


for instance Family Guy 2KW6 - I've attached the sheet - clearly it requires a progressive controller and will not work in a home environment. 


I'm sure "tested" means the software loads - however if the game plays or not remains to be seen......

Munch,  It does work with a ipc controller as it was marked ipc.  Some folks have all that and are using it.  Expensive at the start but it enables you to play other cool games normally not possible.  All I got to say about that. Also Family guy etc. is NOT wap!.  Just needs a ipc for progressive- etc.  There is a big diff. between wap and others so don't get confused.

Munch,  I have nothing to do with this other than what I stated.  Back to the future works fine-there may be other versions.  In my mind the seller offered this stuff at mostly good buys for those that know how to use it and proper equipment-That's all.  The stuff can be complicated or easy-depends on your and other's brain size I guess.  Nothing more I can say about this- No issues etc.  There are very few WAP themes on his list.

 please check with a friend before you buy -  NLG is for family and there shouldn't be a half dozen "few" dead games on a list for members to be sucked into buying. 


It's simple - send a pm to a friend before you put down good money on something that may not work in your home.

Munch,  I agree with that.  You guy's and gal's like plug and play and don't do your research on some games so things can be illusive to those that don't know what is required. From your posts it seems that you are unhappy about a purchase on software.  -Just a guess. -Again I have no idea but it seems that way.

Going to Chime In and maybe help the NLG community out there..... 


I want to say Gunner has some GREAT prices on some of those titles!!  I also have software sets I'm trying to sell, but my prices are just too high I guess!!   :duh:   


Here's some details on some of Gunners titles, so NO ONE is confused with what is what. Besides the possibility of the WOF game (not sure which revision it is), I do not see ANY "WAP" titles listed there. WAP is "Wide Area Progressive". WIDE meaning the pool amount is stored OUTSIDE the casino on a Mega-Jackpots or QuarterMania server. And is shared with ALL machines, in ALL casinos on the server IP network for that game. People may refer to WAP in different definitions, but I would better say a game is "Server Required", rather than WAP. Games like DARK KNIGHT (2HK6), AVATAR (1MZ4), and GHOSTBUSTERS WYGC (2JZ6) are "true" WAP games. ALL those communicate Level Amounts, Wager, and Payouts with a Mega-Jackpots server.


An IPC is NOT necessarily WAP. IPC's are self-contained progressive controllers in 99% of their use and do NOT require a Server Ping to activate or respond. However, in the instance of Ghostbusters WYGC (2JZ6), the IPC gets it's progressive levels, contribution amounts, etc FROM the MJ Server. Ghostbusters WYGC (2JZ6) is the 1% example where you need MORE than just an IPC.


If you have an IPC controller and the required software, any "IPC Game" CAN be played in your home. IPC's are obsolete as far as IGT is concerned, so one would think they WILL start to be available to the 2nd hand market in the next few years.  ( ??? )  :Scratch-Head:   And thus grabbing some game software while you can, might be wise.


There is ANOTHER type of Progressive Controller. IGT currently uses what they call a "Universal Controller" on their newer games.
NOTE: 1) a UC is NOT an IPC. 2) An IPC is NOT a C-Comm controller. 3 different devices, folks!


Here's what I can help explain on Gunners list:


2MK3  True Blood: Requires a UC (Universal Controller)
1DX9  Tiger Eye - Crystal Fortunes: Requires an IPC (IGT Progressive Controller)
2RD7  Captain Nemo: Requires a UC
2RF2  Venture to Neverland: Requires a UC
1FT5  Alices Adventures: It WILL run Stand-Alone, however it REQUIRES a special Top Box and Top Box controller board Flash, to be playable.
2QR4  Azure Dragon: Requires an IPC
2RD5  Into The Wild: Requires an IPC
2LD1  Little Green Men: Requires a UC and a Joystick Controller (Board and correct board Flash)
2LZ9  Back To The Future: Requires an FI file added to the OS Install; to add the "Game Controlled Menu" option to the OS. NOTE: The OS MAY also require to recognize a "Light Device Controller" board be present.
2FY9  Elvis The King: Requires an IPC

The point is... I HAVE SOFTWARE FOR SALE !!! Look at it, if you need it, buy it...    dont know what it is - research it !!!

Lighten up guys... and leave the personal stuff out of it. Not all users understand the lingo used here (IPC? WAP?) or the architectures of the machines and their add-ons. The sniping of "seems that you are unhappy about a purchase on software" isn't necessary here.

NLG is full of people that run the gamut from professionals who know it all to novice users who come to us for help. THANK YOU to the members who stepped in to help clarify what this software was and what is needed to run it. It goes a long way to keep buyers and sellers happy and the drama away from NLG.

Gunnerbill - if you want to open a new thread and consolidate all of the data into your initial post, go ahead and do that but flag this thread for us to clean off if you do.

 this game is a normal playing game (wide screen/wide screen). It is playing on my machine now. Plays fine on my g22. It does not need anything special that i know of. My g22 has nothing special but 2 monitors and a edge-lite button deck
