Title: Sound issue
Post by: Dirtguy on April 08, 2017, 08:15:33 AM
Hi
I just got my first reel touch, Tabasco, and just got it up and running. The issue I am having is that the sound volume I set to 10 in the sound menu, and it seems it is only as loud as about a 3 or 4 in a normal s 2000. I tried switching out the amp board with no change. I tried disconnecting one speaker at a time thinking I may have one with a short, no change. The sound works fine, I just wish I could make it louder.  Is this typical of these machines as the sound comes from the top computer? Was wondering what would happen if I added a MMLite board with a Tabasco sound simm. Any ideas on how to increase the volume.

Thanks for any ideas!!

Sounds are controlled by the top box. Press the white button on the MPU and navigate to section 8 "setups"
Then go to LCD volume and you should be all set.

That's a great game while you are in those screens go to logs , version logs and write down and save the RFA number, ATA number and the  BGM number. Place it somewhere in the game cabinet. If your hard drive ever goes bad you will need this information to recreate a new one.
Good luck with your new machine.

Thank You so much!!! I didn't even notice there was a section 8 when I was in the menu, used to regular S 2000 menus. That did the trick, makes sense, sound comes from a different place, different place to adjust it! Thanks again!!!!!

Great did you remember to write down RFA, ATA, and BGM numbers? You have to do this while the game is operational you won't be able to get them if it goes down.
