Title: S2000 + Pros & Cons
Post by: Terps on June 24, 2017, 02:59:19 PM
Interested in getting a reel + Larry Lobster machine.  Would like to get people's opinion of the reel + machines.  I know certain vendors do not like these machines and have reported trouble with the Monitor. I know a lot of people on this site have them and am curious what their thoughts are. What are some of the known issues and would you purchase one again. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks
Fusco

I'm a little biased but I love Reel Touch machines. Larry is a good title along with Tabasco and my favourite Denver Duck.
They make great home based machines but they are very tall.
I have 5 of them and they are no worse than any other S2000 machine. The weak spot would be the hard drive located in the top box. They are not bad to replace as long as you jot down some information from the machine while it is still working.

I have started to use solid state drives and this really prolongs time between failure.
Parts are still available and a spare top box would be recommended for the long haul. I would not hesitate to own one as I've said I have 5 that have required very little maintenance.  If you purchase a nonworking machine they can be a little tedious to bring back to life because of the many chip/hardrive loads/bios combinations that must all match.
I like them but others may have a different opinion.

Rich, I agree. I too love playing them. Although I do not own any, Visions are my love. I would not pass one up if it crossed my path.

I really do hope to get a Vision game someday :) They look really cool and fun for home use :) I'm wondering how tall are they?

Vision machines are no larger than any others. They come in 9", 16" and round top cabinets

know where there are some 16" -s-2000  vision machines available,   275.00  as is,  not shopped, not plugged in,  will make sure all the parts are there,  will check to see if all the software is there as well.  these are as they came from the casino,   some are dud games as for action, themes are wild cherry pie, diamond mine,  5x pay,  probably have around 5=6 available,  all sorts of condition, as with anything in business, offers can be made.

by the way, your pm box is full.

Where are they?  I usually go to Virginia 6 hours away. Long day.  How far away from Baltimore?
