Title: CEI Video Poker 906III
Post by: shortrackskater on June 05, 2010, 02:11:52 AM

I'm looking for any information on my recently acquired CEI Video Poker game. It's in GREAT condition. I got it last Sunday in Henderson NV. The lower belly glass light was out and it was rejecting about half the coins inserted. I poked around inside and saw that the connector to the light was disconnected. I re-connected it to see the light flickering madly. Replacing the bulb solved that problem! Then, I went to THIS website and read a great writeup on coin acceptors. I ordered a "new" used one on ebay and that solved the rejection problem. What I am looking for now is the service manual and operator manuals for this machine. I did find another request for it and I've e mailed that person, and I was disappointed that I never heard anything from him. Is there anyone out there who can help? I've attached a picture of this machine. As I stated, it's in great condition and everything works. I would like to know how to change some things, like maximum bets and whether I can set if  to pay out on win hands, and how to change the denomination. For some reason, it says 25 cents

Hi there and welcome to the CEI community!  Could you share the model and/or some detail about the coin acceptor that you swapped out?  I'm just curious since you claim that it's working fine.

Hi
It was a Coin Mech INC. 110-5c. As I stated in my first post, it was rejecting coins about half the time. The "new used" one is fine now although I did have a problem with it last night after I accidentally touched a micro-switch on the inside door causing a "bling blong - bling blong - bling blong" sound and an error of CALL ATTENDANT COIN STUCK IN. I've never worked on anything like this before but I did finally figure out how to clear the error. In the process though, I took the coin acceptor back out and found that someone had jammed a piece of rolled up paper (an old nickle tube!) into the unit...for what I don't know. AND...the spring wire that returns the reject button was broken (I was wondering about the one inch piece of wire stuck to the magnet was when I unwrapped it!). So, I took the good one off the original coin acceptor, put it on the "new used" one and everything now is fine. I may try and repair the other one since it appears to be newer. I hope this helps.
I'm posting pictures of the inside of this machine for everyone to see. I really know nothing about these slots so I hope mine keeps working. I do have manuals on the way. I included shots of the model number and some other unknown numbers - some are versions I believe. I noticed my CRT has some interesting burn ins and I'm not sure if it's caused by alignment over the years or what? I also see another date of 1981 but the current screen is 1981, 1986. If anyone has more information, I'd love to hear from them. I hope these pictures are helpful.
