Title: CEI 906 poker boards
Post by: hotslots on October 30, 2013, 07:50:11 PM

I just picked up a ton of 906III, Turbo and EX PCB's. Is there any way to test them in a 904 machine? Is it possible to build a test harness? is the pinout available?

903, 904, 905, and 906 boards are pin compatible.  Some manufactures (not CEI) that made games with 903-904 boards used 12 VAC on pin 9 and K are not compatible with 906 boards.  If a 906 board is plugged into these game U71 a ULN2003,  part of switch matrix circuit, goes up in smoke. So like a lot of things, if you don't see any smoke on power up every thing is OK

I have a Cal Omega Double Up and Keno. So I should be able to try them in one of those.

Either one, all should power up and go into test mode, they use the same mother board.  Keno control panel is different from poker so don't expect to be able to play a game.
