Tournament mode!
« on: May 24, 2017, 08:41:14 AM »
I just discovered tournament mode on my Game King—and it feels as if I just got a new game for my machine!

The setting I chose is for 10 minutes with no starting credits on 9/6 JoB. First game: 690. Second game: 890.

It's intense! Funny how in a split-second after I press "draw," I can realize I made the wrong play, yet it wouldn't have mattered!

Thank you to one of the NLG members who noted that to reset a tournament session, you have to simultaneously press Draw and turn the Attendant Key. It was the inspiration to get tournament mode set up!

I assume the cards are as randomly drawn as in normal mode, except the casino get set parameters for its tournament—such as a time limit, starting credits (if any), and which game/pay table.

So the unexpected, disappointing thing that happened when I turned off Tournament Mode is that my progressive jackpots/settings got wiped out.

Not only that, the progressive games that I had on the nickel denomination got moved to the penny screen—but without progressive jackpots. Now the only game on the nickel denomination is JoB. Weird!  :Scratch-Head:

Back to the ol' key chip!  :banghead:
