S or S plus chip to lower payout

I have a S or S plus. I am not sure how to tell the difference. The winner paid, credit and coins played windows are on the right hand side of machine. Right above coin chute.  It is a 3 coin 3 line machine. Lucky Bar is the name of the machine. It has a SS1576 chip in it. It works fine but this is not a chip that the IGT bible says it can use. I need to find out for sure what chip i need for the lowest percent of payout on this machine. Also where i can get this chip. Thanks for any help

According to the reel chip list, the lowest payout is 87.8%. That would be an SS1582. If it has an SS (reel) chip it is an S+. S machines use a combination game and reel chip. They have different style numbers. Most of our vendors on the home page may have that chip. Also some members may contact you as many of them also carry chips.

Here's a couple of pics of an early style S+ inside and an S inside. The MPU is front left on the S+ and Left rear on the S. Other differences also but this will tell you right off the bat. The S has the hopper removed.

Thanks for the replies. It is a S+ then. So i need to find a SS1582

You need to delete some messages in your inbox. It's full and can't take any new ones. Keep the total under 15 to receive messages.

Why is the font so small when i do reply instead of quick reply. I even picked a bigger font the second time?

    It's people using the WYSIWYG version of the text editor, and not really knowing what they're doing.  It's unfortunately enabled by default.  I turned it off for my account as I prefer to use the old (standard) method of typing posts.

    You can disable it for your account by visiting the Look and Layout section of your profile, unchecking the bottom checkbox ("Show WYSIWYG editor on post page by default."), and clicking the "Change profile" button to save your changes.

Ok, I sent newkid3 a SS1582 chip. It doesn't pay correctly but apparently his SS1576 did. I've been doing some research & it seems that the strips are different for payout changes on this game. I've seen similar on 5 line RWB that uses a different 3rd strip (ABC or ABD depending on the SS used) but never anything as extreme as what is indicated here. It seems that this particular game dates back to the M slot era. Responses anticipated & welcomed. Talk to me Shaggy. I also see a big discrepancy in the payout % of SS1576 between the 2 documents.

In the picture from the second document you posted, it shows that the 1576 uses AAA reel strips (all three reels identical), but the 1582 uses ECA (three different reel strips). As such, the existing reel strips in his machine would not be compatible.

While I don't know the intentions of the OP, it always looks a little suspect to me when people want to lower the payout of their machines, especially to "the lowest percent of payout". As a blanket statement only, with my original disclaimer earlier in this paragraph still applying, we don't condone or support people here using machines for illegal gambling.

Hey RB, you have a lot bigger list than the game bible shows. It doesn't even show his SS1576 chip. Also the only one on the list to show AAA strip setup. The EFG and such would indicate a lot of different reel strips. The difference in the sheet details of 85% to 93% is huge. I looked only at the percentage drop and didn't even catch the strips being configured differently. The big question is, are there really that many strips out there with all those numbers? And dating back to M machines.......getting pretty old. Unfortunately there are no other AAA setups to try a different chip. He may be stuck with the one he had originally. Ken or Jim may have some odd strips and/or maybe they can give more info on the correct payout for the SS1576. If we believe what the reel chip list says, there must be 7 different reel strips for that machine, although I don't see the "D" strip being used anywhere. You used the head scratch but I'm more like     Let's see what anybody else has to say. Thanks

The bottom picture is IGT produced data and the top is someone's homemade version (most of us have all made our own version at one time or another) so I would go by the IGT produced data.

From the info that Ron posted I would say he has the lowest payout chip - 1576.

Those reel strip layouts are a lot worst than RWB!

The online game bible is comes from the "Nevada Book" - those were the games that were certified by the Nevada Gaming Authority and authorized for the use in Nevada. Games like Double Diamonds continue to be used all the way through to the latest AVP platforms because the certification process is long, arduous and expensive. Other jurisdictions such as the military, Australia, Carribian and First Nations do not necessarily use the Nevada Book. Most however do white-list the Nevada book, meaning if a theme shows up in the Nevada book then its automatically accepted for use in their Jurisdictions. Ozzy who was working in the Dominican said the majority of the machines in his casino were at or below 70% - I certainly can't validate the authenticity of that statement and I have no way of knowing the chip numbers or if the reel strips were different.

This is not my machine. I am working on it for a guy. He said he wanted to lower the payout to use it as a piggy bank to buy another game. Any slot machine could be used for gambling. So no I am not going to use it for gambling. What he does with it is his business. He owns it. I don't judge especially when I don't know what the facts are. Thanks to everyone that helped.
