I am just saying that is what I would do if the board's model number ends in 1270. Proms and simm card will be mounted on a daughter board.

Button battery is fine and the sound set up would have to set back to preferred if that is what you are currently running.

EDIT >>>>>

if the battery is removed then the preferred sounds needs to be set back up .. but this stuff below needs to be done first

machine displays .. ram error or call attendant
open door .. turn jackpot reset key four times
press test switch in for 3 seconds on mpu
close door

then set the sounds back up

i tried the batteries on every machine i have seen this problem on it has only ever worked on one board. i have heard that it could be caused by one of the main spartan fpga chips.

Well, some more weird things...I booted the machine up normally...to get all the credits out....I shut it down and pulled the board out and metered the battery...this time it was at 3.4v (after getting a reading before doing anything with the machine at 3.5v) .....??? I proceeded to put my key chip in...and ran the machine for about 15 minutes...shut it down to put my regular chip in and it was at 3.68v......I might just try the battery just incase...plus its cheaper then a board....

i understand that the battery is there in case the power on the machine goes down and then the door is opened it should set off an alarm of some type

and I know it will cause the board not to work .. usually the red led blinks
