Help
« on: May 22, 2017, 12:35:21 PM »
Bought a s2000 that showed low battery.  Got home and tried to turn on machine but nothing will display. Interior light and fan fan will turn on.  Reels will flash for second but that is it.  All Lights on MPU are all on and the fourth light ., second orange, and red light are blinking.  Thought something might have come loose while getting it home but could not find any loose connections

Check fuses??

Did you lay the machine on its side or back to transport it? If so, a loose coin, screw or washer could have jumbled around and landed someplace that is causing a short circuit. May need to look underneath circuit boards and around power transformer, everywhere a coin or other metal object could cause a problem.

Post a picture of the MPU board so we can see if it's  a 500 series or enhanced type.  Typical if enhanced the varta battery is dead.  No worries we will get you up and running.

I had to lay it on its side to transport. Where fuses located?

No fuses on S2000. That's an enhanced board
Try leaving it turned on for a half hour or so then cycle the on off switch and see if it boots. You will still have to replace the coin battery.

Machine did not boot up.  Would another MPU board solve this issue?  I have another machine but board is not enhanced so it will not fit.

I have had 1270 enhanced boards do this before after they have sat for a long period of time.
Sometimes the Varta battery (green one) removal mod brings them back to life.
If your comfortable working on the MPU board you can try this mod.

You must remove the battery and the U16 regulator for this to work.
