How to fix error code 55

Any idea on where to start with this? I know it means the stacker is removed but it is not and I have made sure the latch is going up and locking in. Is there a way I can disable the sensor somehow and still have the machine take bills?

Is this a 5500 or a 6000.   On a 5500 there is two switches . One for the drop door lock of the bill stacker on the side . Inside the machine above the bill stacker is the lock switch. Disconnect the gray and yellow wire and tie them together. Leave the other wire attached to the switch. The second is for bill stacker . Inside the machine where the bill stacker goes, at the bottom of the stacker is a switch. remove the red and green wire and tie them together. leave the other wire attached to the switch. Leaving the remaining wire connected to the switch keeps the wires in place is all it is doing. No sensor function. On the 6000 there is 3 wires coming from the bottom of the bill stacker/ cash can . Yellow, white, and?.  Cut and Tie all 3 wires together.

Well it seems I have no wires? There is a white switch at the back of the unit that holds the cash can. It has a spot for 3 wires but there is nothing attached to it and I don't see any wires laying anywhere for it. Seems it was never hooked up before so now I have no idea what to look for. On top of that when I put it back together it started making weird sounds through the speaker and gave me codes for catastrophic failure and checksum error. Guess I will have to use the clear chips again but not sure if that will change anything or not.

Ok I think I have those wires.....they go down to the bottom of the cash can to what looks like the switch that says if the cash door is open. would those be the ones? If so can I just cut the square block connector off at the top and connect the wires together? Or should I do it at the bottom of the can....just harder to get to the bottom but I can get to the top connector pretty easy

Also not sure if you would know or not but when it cycles at first it is sounding kinda weird. There are red lights on the side of the head unit. First red light comes on then a second on beside it flashes. Do you know if this is correct? Not sure if this is a type of error code or something

yes you can cut the wires at any point and wire them together.  I'm not sure about the red led's , but going by memory i believe they are suppose to be on steady. I can't get the pic to post upright.
