Title: Ceronix 1492 lines
Post by: 63mini on April 25, 2017, 04:38:00 PM

I have an IGT slant top with a Ceronix 1492 monitor that has faint white diagonal lines on the screen. Is this a symptom of the caps? Or, is something else starting to fail?

there are 2 adjustment knows on the flyback transformer. one is focus, the other intensity. try turning down the intensity a bit until the lines are gone. be careful, the flyback is high voltage. hopefully the knobs are accessable, they may not be easy to get at.  the flyback is the transformer with the thick red cable going to the top of the picture tube. again, be careful
