You know, we've gone though a few of these, although no progressives. Get a Clear card (contact Blueridge) and after a Clear, they were VERY easy and friendly to set up. We were impressed at how friendly they were actually.

I used to own a Golden Theater Deluxe Advantage 3.

To RAM CLEAR, you need the EL key.

Powered off:
Open the logic door and there is an empty battery hole.

Stick the EL key in there and turn on the machine. If I remember correctly, it will confirm that it has cleared, remove the EL KEY and reboot? Then it should bring you to a setup screen. (this step could all be in the ram clear, I can't remember). Make sure you disable anything regarding the ticket printers, and network connections.

Just follow the directions on the screen. It will tell you when to remove the key and reboot the machine.

My advantage ran off a CF (Compact flash cards) but also had 4-5 EPROMS on the motherboard.

Steve,

With all my Konami's, when doing a complete Ram Clear (EL Key with mine), There is a section where you can turn on and off internal and external host's.

Has anyone ever seen a standalone progressive in a Konami? Is it possible that it is NOT an option?

All mine refer to a "Host" in the progressive part of setup, I'm assuming an external Host.

I was just reading through a class manual that Ron got for me (thanks Ron!)
This is info for the K2V 2.0 with flash clear card,,, Not the EL card.

When doing a ram clear remove the progressive play card (if equipped) and insert RAM clear chip to perform clear.

So from what I've seen if you want it set for progressive you'll need the progressive chip that sits in the same slot that the clear chip goes when doing a RAM clear.

Hope this helps, I'm still reading and will let ya know if I find anything else.

All of my Konami's use an EL Key to do a Ram Clear.

Section 2-51 thru 2-53 deals with progressive setup.

Good luck!
