E2000 machine
« on: June 27, 2017, 02:43:33 PM »
Guys, I have an e2000 machine that is not working correctly.  I can insert a coin and there is absolutely no reaction from the machine.  There are no errors on the meter when I run the tests.  The coin accepted never lights up.  I checked the coin switch which is working.  Any ideas?  Also, whats the best place to get parts for these older Bally machines?  Thanks!

Hello and welcome to New Life Games...

Do you have a coin comparitor or coin acceptor? If you have a comparitor do you have a sample coin in it? You could check your power supply's main plug for any burnt connections. As for parts check EBay or post a WTB ad here.

A good place to start is to check any fuses in the machine, make sure the power cord is in good condition and connected inside the machine. Also measure the power supply voltages, they should have labels near the test points on the circuit board. Post photos of your machine and the circuit boards so we can see if anything is wrong.

Apologize for butting in, we have all of the older slot parts including EM and E-series plus, *sigh*, hundreds of spare E-series boards.

PM me if you need something.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

I want to thank you guys for your responses.  Turns out there was a grounding problem on the door circuit.  One of the gray wires had detached from the coin return switch causing the dependent components on the door to lose their ground including the coin switch.  Soldered it back up - problem solved.  There are a few parts I need though so I will be ordering them tomorrow.
