Title: Lost key to lock
Post by: Bomackey on November 28, 2017, 04:46:20 PM
Hi folks, I haven't turned on my IGT I-game in a couple of months, when I did turn it on, it gives a call attendant error, and when I try to reset it, I get a ram error message. I figured that my battery has dies, but I have lost the key to my MPU tray and can not get it out to change the battery, I have not located a replacement key online, I have found all keys but that one. Does anyone know of a source for the key, or a way to get it open without the key? Thanks

The MPU tray is locked into the machine?  That's pretty unusual, but if that's what you have get ready to break out the drill.  There's not a standard key for those like the jackpot reset key lock (2341).

Cut the catches on the MPU housing with a dremel tool

Either way you get it open, your going to have fun cleaning up the metal shavings. Were these locked when you bought them? I've never seen a MPU tray with a lock installed. Usually just a open lock hole.

Well I did get it drilled out and open, and like you said, now I have to clean up all the shavings. the funny thing is, I have had both of the trays out before and have done a key 22 on them. they both had locks when I bought them, and apparently I had a key, but who knows where it got off to.
