Pink Panther Vision Problem

It boots fine with that memory because the memory is not the issue. Being that BGM109 is correct for Pink Slips it may be easier to fing the correct SB. First you have to figure out which SB goes with BGM109. I hope you find it. Judging from your strips (and to confuse things further) this is info I obtained from another NLG member.


Pink Slip 2 coin buy a pay (BGM108 SB331), Pink Slip 3 coin (BGM138, SB332), and Pick a Panther 3 coin buy a pay (BGM109, SB350) go with the strips in the pic below.

If this is true than I do need the BGM138 to go with the SB332 because I do have a 3 coin machine and it is Pink Slips.

To complicate things more.  On the good side the monitor is booting up, but the game is going into key conf and the buttons won't function to allow me to key the machine.  I did convert it from a 9 button 5 reel panel to a 3 reel so if you know I need to move a certain plug on the board, otherwise everything seems to plug right in and match up.  The monitor initializes but then goes to the contact attendant for main door open error.  and I am also getting a coin in error.  it goes to these errors after a few minutes when I don't key config it, because I can't without the buttons working.  Also closing the main door doesn't make the open door error go away. 


I checked the optics they are good, and plugged in.  I tried to clear and key chip it again.  when it goes to MSVERIFY - it has "START APP" my others Vision games don't say that after the MSVERIFY so that makes me think something is still off with the SB Chips and Game card.  I have an 138 and another SB332 chip coming so I will see if that will make a difference.

Start app is normal for my visions. I am baffled that this is the same machine that runs DD Run with no issues. Let us know how the new software works out.

Yes, APP start, then Reels spin, then waiting on monitor, please wait. Have you put the jumper on J1 on the monitor. With the jumper it will tell us/you what it is doing.

No this is the only Pink Panther game I have.  I have a Little Green Men but those are the only 2 Vision games I have.

   I thought you said you had DD Run    and it ran perfectly. So you have PP Pink Slips, Ms. Little Green Men and Double Diamond Run, correct? Have you tried Ms. Little Green Men in the same top monitor?

The DD Run is the Pink Panther, I converted the DD Run into the Pink Panther.  No I haven't tried pulling the LGM and putting it in the DD Run/Pink Panther Cabinet.

You are thinking in terms of machines and I am thinking in terms of games. I switch games in one of my visions all  the time. So, if everything works fine with one game in but not another, then you can mostly rule out the machine. The only thing you are changing is the SB, BGM (and stirps, but not necessary for testing). Has this game ever worked in this machine? If not, this may need to be linked to your previous thread. Now that you mention the conversion I seem to recall one.

Put LGM in and it works fine in that machine.  So, I think I can eliminate that it is the machine and it must be the game.

I came down sick with the flu so I have been in bed for over a week so I haven't got to mess with the Pink Panther yet.


Its on my list to do.  I have a list o things to try on the Pink including your software, a new video card, new i/o door card, new jumpers.  also been waiting for it to be warmer here in Colorado, the games don't work so well when its too cold and even though its in my garage, it gets down in the 50's even with the heat.  So 70's and above they all work better.  I hope to give it a go this week and I will let you know.

Ok I installed the new software and the game tries to boot up and the monitor starts to go but then the monitor doesn't give me the standard start up but just goes black and then I get a "Call Attendent" and the pictured error.
