BB1 printer com error
« on: January 15, 2017, 08:17:17 AM »
 Hi All
I haven’t been active on the site for some time now, but could use some assistance, seems I may have gotten in over my head this time. I just got my first BB1 and am not familiar with this platform at all. My problem started just the other day the machine was playing fine, I hadn’t used the ticket printer, so I tried it and the ticket printed fine. The next time I boot the machine up I get call attendant in the blue box, on the bottom of the screen in middle restart and to the right BVSD. When I open the door I then get the printer com error. The printer is a GEN 2, it has tickets in it but the indicator lights says READY  and a head open light is on, it is not. In my tinkering I found that the flag on the printer head may have wiped out the sensor that tells it the head is closed. Most likely need a new ticket printer. Sorry about being long winded I thought I saw on the site where one can set the machine to all hand pays and bypass the printer until I can locate another. If so any help would be appreciated. Will I need a clear chip (card), I don’t have anything for this type of machine. In the future I am considering game changes. Again any help is much needed, I can post pictures if needed.
Thanks Brian

You will need to clear the game and during setup select printer disabled instead of whatever printer you have.

Thanks Rick
For the reply, sorry for getting back so late lost my internet (weather). I did some digging on the site and found a couple of videos on set up and it looks like I need to locate a clear card 1810. Again Thanks I wouldn't have known where to start.

I have a similar problem.  I got 2 BB1s.  One over them is a video machine, the other a 5 reeled version.  Both of them are showing printer com errors when connected.  Printers have WMS software, I have cleared the games, selected Netplex, one of them I even put a TITO in because I read that sometimes that will help, but no results even on System SAS.  Green Light shows ready on both printers, neither will print a test voucher, nor print.  I am able to get rid of the printer com error by selecting Seiko PSA 66T as the printer type, even though I am using a Gen 2 printer, but it still does not print vouchers.  Does anyone have a solution?  I'm positive it's not my machines because they are both doing the exact same thing.
