Looking for this battery--Need 2
« on: June 20, 2017, 02:01:43 AM »

My Atronic Emotion is showing "Change Battery and restart".  There are 2 boards, 1 battery on each board.  I have looked around but haven't found the 3 pin one like is pictured above in the U.S.  Anyone have a resource for it?

Thanks!

That's a fullsize AA 3.6volt battery. Just do a google search for LS14500 3 pin solder tab or similar.

Here's some examples of sources if no one on NLG has them:

http://www.battery2batteries.com/saft-ls14500-3pfrp-battery-3-6v-lithium-aa-2-pins-2-1/

http://industrialbatterypros.com/saft-ls14500-3pf-rp-3-6v-2600mah-aa-lithium-battery-3-pins/

http://store.batteryspecialists.com/ls14500rgt.html
(no photo but has outline drawing)

Also, you could solder in a 3.6 volt battery that has long pigtails (called "axial" leads), just insert the leads into the solder holes in the board. Where your old battery has the 2 solder tabs on the same end they are both the same connection, that battery has 2 tabs there for a little extra mounting stability, plus it ensures the battery is installed with correct polarity. So you can substitute any 3.6 volt battery that will fit on the board, just make sure about getting the positive and negative connected right. You could even install a battery holder to make it easier to replace next time.

Thanks for the resources.  Nothing came up for me on Google using the battery name and number except for overseas distributor's with pages in Chinese and German (I think).   Easy job once I get the right parts!   Thanks again.

If you really want the battery with the solder on tabs you could try:

https://www.batteriesplus.com/store-locator/az

https://www.batteriesplus.com/search?q=saft+ls14500

They will attach the solder tabs on the battery so you can solder it to your board... They may even do it for you...

Jameco Electronics sells those.

All Electronics sells the 1/2 AA batteries with wire leads.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.
