Game Maker HD V20/20 Game Change
« on: March 25, 2016, 07:07:49 AM »
Although I’m no Rookie at putting money in a slot machine, I am a new owner and new to the site.

I have a Bally Game Maker HD V20/20, the CF with the Operating System is from 12/16/2010, 2GB DMA Alpha OS. The CF with the games is a 1GB DMA Game Maker HD Suite 7. Looking for some direction on changing games, or adding/removing from the current Suite if possible.

I see some games out there, but how do I tell if they will work with my current OS and screen size? What I am referring to at first would be a standalone game, not the Suite. Is there a specific numbering system on the CF I’m looking for, a date, or must the game specifically state Game Maker? In regards to the Game Maker Suites, will any version run with the current OS, example that I seen is Game Maker Suite 0?, is there anything after suite 7?

Not to get the cart too far in front of the horse, but when loading a new game or a different Game Maker Suite, I assume a Ram Clear and Set-Up procedure need to be done. Is there a specific RAM Clear CF that is needed for this OS? There is instruction in the manual Bally/Alpha/MODULE 2: MK2-ALPHA-0002 here in the file downloads, but the book is 5 years older than the software. Is there a cheat sheet out there or more up to date manual?

Horse is resting, cart still going. Can a standalone game be added to or removal of a non-used game on the current Suite 7 CF?  Maybe dreaming, create your own CF with several games?

Sorry for the long winded question, just haven’t been able to come across the answers myself.
Thanks!!

Each game suite includes a list of games.  You cannot add any games beyond those available in the suite.  There are 3 suites that I know of 0, 1, and 7.  If you want to remove from the available games, you need to clear the machine and setup the software from scratch, thereby selecting which games are available and at which denominations they are enabled in.
