Need Help on BB1 Touchscreen
« on: July 17, 2017, 04:58:27 PM »
Hi group,

Please I need help with WMS BB1 set-up.  After clearing the memory, I'm presented with a denomination setup, but the touchscreen won't allow me to click the numbers, it's seem off the screen.  Has anyone experienced this?  I tried adjusting the screen and touchscreen setup, but it didn't help.  I also plug in an external mouse and keyboard, no response.

thanks in advance.

Try touching different parts of the screen, does it register anywhere?

Are you touching ., 0, 1, enter?

Yes it does, I'm able to input 0.25 but can't find the enter button.

Will it take .01 enter, you can then just enable the .25 denomination in set up?

it will on the keypad screen, but without being entered it's useless.  I thought that it could be next to the ".", but that's is located on the very edge of the screen.

If you turn the attendant key twice can you get into the calibration screen?

I did that calibration and it works fine when I'm selecting game set up.  But when I'm in the setting up base denomination, that's when everything gets mess up, the keypad is not all together and enter could be anywhere on the screen - it doesn't follow the keypad on the screen.  I've input many times hoping to hit enter every where - no luck.

Do you have another monitor/touch screen to try?

The top monitors typically don't have the touch screen but if yours does have it you can try it.

I didn't removed anything or disconnected, just power down and now it won't turn both monitors on - it sounded power is low yet all the internal lights are on.

ok, I got that running again by pulling the operating system out card out and reinserting it, it churns the bill validator and both screens came up.

Sounds like you may have a power supply issue causing the touch screen issues???????

Can you get into the setup now and enter anything?

on the side of the lower monitor, the yellow power led lit up and now the screen went back to non-working.  I guess I need to buy a new monitor to find out if that's the problem.

Could be either, power supplies can typically be an issue.

after replacing the power supply, the monitor still won't turn on.

What type of monitor can I replace it with, or am I stuck with having to get the same brand?

Not sure what monitor you've got tovis or kortek?? Ceronix makes replacement monitors for Bluebirds.

Are both monitors still out? If so reseat your CPU.

If it's just the one monitor since you've already replaced the monitor PSU and it has a solid yellow LED... I would check the A/D board and connections and then the inverter.
