After about 6 restarts still getting the ( bad type identification-0xAE01) over and over. Hello...

Sound like you might have a bad MPU board. Can you post a picture of it? If your board still has the green Varta battery, they will leak acid that eats the boards traces. Did your game ever work, or was it bought in this condition? You might want to check you coin battery's voltage. When they get down to around 3V and lower you should see a low battery message. It could be possible a low voltage is causing you a problem..

Had the game around 4 years with no issues, still has the Varta battery with no noticeable leakage, I have not checked button battery voltage but am not getting any low battery errors

I'd be concerned that your traces under the Varta Battery could be damaged.. You don't need to see acid for damage, just the fumes can cause damage. Do you have the enhanced board or the standard 500 series?

I have the same problem. Try turning down the megipixal on your camera, or do as I down, crop down your picture size.

You may not get a battery low indication from the machine yet it may still be an issue. 4 years is a long time for that coin battery if it reads below 2.9 it needs to be replaced.

I do see acid damage to your board around the green Varta battery. Look at the large diodes to the right side of the battery, and to the other solder contacts all around the Varta battery. Those green contacts are sights of acid damaging the board. I would remove that battery and inspect under it. Not sure if the boards damaged beyond repair. Try cleaning it with vinager and water, 50/50 mix and a tooth brush, then rinse clean with fresh water and let air dry for about 24 hours. If you do decide to clean the board, make sure to remove the coin battery as well. I know Jim at Midwest Slots was offering MPU Board for sale a while back if you need a replacement.
