Title: Immidate payout when bills inserted
Post by: greghig on November 28, 2017, 09:14:43 PM
Forgive me if it this is posted before. I searched for 2 hours and could not find my problem.  S-Plus machine. Lots of issues that have been resolved. Last problem is when I insert a bill, It immediately pays out. I know, I need to be sure the 8-1 option is set. Well, IT IS. Ive set it to all 3 possibilities, 8-0,8-1 and 8-2. When I go to the settings, it already is set to 8-1. but still pays out immediately. How can I get this to add the bills to credits? (note, I'm able to get to the '8' setting without the set chip and change it, so does that mean I dont need the set chip? My understanding from previous post is if you can "get to" the option, then you don't need the chip). Perhaps it can only be set the first time after the set chip and get locked. Im so confused.

Set 5 - 0 .. before you get to 8 - 1.

a little more information might be needed.  probably would need to know the sp chip you are using, what type board you have, 10 meg (has volume adjustment knob on the top of it)  or a 16 meg board, no volume knob.   some sp chips require a certain dip switch setting,   the same menu you entered to get to #8, begins with the 5_0-1-2, this setting is how the machine  will handle  payouts,  the #8 setting will handle the inserted money credits, either put them on the display to be played down or paid out from the hopper, like a bill changer.

if all settings fail, and no matter what you try, check the wiring for the cash out switch,  it is wired differently from the other switches, if wired incorrectly, it will cause the problem you are having.

as for the set chip, since the bill unit is working, all your settings that require a set chip are correct, you should have a set chip on hand just in case.

hope this helps
