Title: IGT S+ Slant Top Error 43 HELP
Post by: hrd2kch on December 17, 2017, 07:30:18 PM
I have a “Spin To Win” (if that matters) slant top machine.  I have an error code 43. When I reset it, the wheels spin slooowly, about 2-4 spaces....then stop...then another 2-4 spaces...then again.  That’s when the error appears. It started as a 42 error.  I reseated the 2 reel and it cleared.  A couple of days later, the 43 appeared.  Reseating didn’t help.  I am VERY inexperienced at slot machines and I don’t know of any place around me to fix them.  Any help would be appreciated.

Hello... The error 43 now is an error on the 3rd reel.. I would check the plugs on the reels to make sure they are tightly seated. Next I would check the voltage on the battery on the MPU main board. If it's down around 3V I would replace it, the new battery is about 3.60V. Have you had the game for a while, or a new purchase? You need to make sure that nothing is interfering with the reels spinning..

Can you post a good picture of the MPU board here, please?

Just a hunch, but it might have the wrong SP chip for the board type -- that can cause strange reel behavior.

To remove the MPU board, turn the power off first, then slide out the metal tray in the lower left side of the machine next to the hopper. Always ensure the power is off when removing or inserting the MPU board.
