Always something with these machines. Now screen is pink draw poker

Still working on fortune 1 draw poker.I got the coin mech. working 100% of the time and kept it for a week before selling it. Not 24 hours later the buyer said the screen has gone pink. They left it unplugged for 3 hrs  and still pink. Unfortunately no one knows how they moved it, dropped it, good power to there house, spilled beer on it... lol any one heard of this? Thanks

I have 3 and am about to buy a 4th Fortune 1.  I have never experienced a pink screen however I have found that a lot of things can be corrected in these old games by simply powering down (unplugging) and re-seating every plug  and board that you can get your hands on.  See it that helps first.  If not call in Badbaud and the other big guns.

The Fortune 1 machines have 3 adjustment pots (knobs) on the main board, center rear.. Those 3 pots are the screen adjustments, color, contrast, back round.. I bet if you just touched they the color would come back. Hopefully it nothing to do with the monitor, or power supply chassis.. First thing I would do is to unplug, the main MPU board, take a pink eraser to the edge contacts to clean them, then plug it in and try it again.. It's a loose or bad connection somewhere...

I'll be sure to remember that. I had him reset the 2 breakers in the back and he said it's fine. Hopefully that's the last I hear of it. Thanks for all the help. I won't be flipping any of these machines again. Not reliable enough.

I have heard that the fortune 1 games cause fits of anger but so far so good. Glad that the problem is solved.

These machines are 35 years old or older, contain many connectors and mechanical parts, plus jostling them around in the back of a truck doesn't do them any benefit either. If you're just in this for a quick-buck you will not find it easy going. People that buy a machine from you will expect lifetime tech support, anytime something goes wrong you will be getting a phone call.
