Another 61 code
« on: December 14, 2015, 08:47:30 PM »
I just bought a 5x pay wild with a 12 code on it.  Replaced battery and now I'm getting the 61 code. Pressed the white test button next to the power switch and got the 61 1 code.  Closed the door and turned the key. The machine displays 0 coins in then switches to insert coin then back to 0 then insert coin. Wheels dont spin and it goes back to code 61. I have 3.62v on the battery. Door optics work (just fixed it: checked with phone camera on door transmitter and got no light.  The optics were reversed). But i still can't pass the 61 code.  It has the bv145 which goes through it's power cycle when machine is first turned on then if you look inside where the bills go in there are two red arrows lit up. What am I missing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You're in the "61 loop" which is somewhat typical after a low battery/battery change.  You'll need a RAM CLEAR chip to clear the EEPROM data on the motherboard.  You may also have success by using a significantly different SP chip on your current board to try and get it to boot, but chances are you'll need a CLEAR chip.  Since you have a dollar bill validator, you'll also need a SET chip to re-enable it after you perform the clear and get the machine back up and running.
