The wife and I have a couple of Traxxas Slash 2x4 cars. Nothing special but they are a lot of fun. My brother has an rc helicopter that's a lot of fun. I've been wanting to get a FPV quadcopter and a gopro but still a bit out of my price range lol. One day.

I have a phantom II vision and thinking of getting the new phantom III vision.  The aspire one is really cool, but too much money for me.  Here is a picture I took the last time I went down to the florida keys.  And yes, I was VERY far away from any airports.

That is so cool!  You can see the curvature of the Earth on the horizon. Any idea what the drone's altitude was?

PS> over on the right side, is that a nude bathing pool area??   :nerd:

When I zoomed in to that pool area I think I saw my 10th grade science teacher,
he's looking pretty good for his age!

And I couldn't believe the tattoo on his left arm!

actually, the curvature you see was because the camera has fish lens on it, super wide angle.  The drone was about 300 feet up, I always fly under 400 feet to avoid potential issues with choppers.

I'm a little confused, please accept my apology/

Did the tattoo say ROZ, Ron, or RAZ.
Like I said, I might be confused or maybe need better glasses.

I've got a few of these, too!

Phantom 3 Advanced (4k camera)
Tarot 250 homebuilt
Tweaker 180 (used for combat)
Dromida Ominus (I learned to fly on this one)
And a bunch of the little ones for flying around in the house and annoying my daughter and our cats.

I'm going to guess that a drone with four props flies much easier and more stable than one of my single prop helicopters that smashed into my neighbors $80,000 SUV at a rate of speed so sideways and fast that I thought it turned into.... a missile!  :rotfl:

yup...I got so scared and never attempted to fly one again! haha

You would be surprised how fast the quadcopters fly sideways when you loose a prop to a tree branch, LOL.

I had one of those, it was amazingly easy to stick 60 feet up in a tree in sport mode.  :banghead:
