(IGT PE+) My JCM DBV-145 is broken. What can I replace it with?
« on: November 13, 2014, 03:53:59 PM »
Basically that.  My JCM DBV-145-SS-6031-B022 is broken.
I've replaced a blown capacitor in the power supply, the head won't pull bills, and the transport is acting funny and has a gear with some missing teeth.
I think it's time to replace the whole thing.  (The Bill Acceptor, not the whole machine.  It's pretty old, but surprisingly everything else works wonderfully.)

What other Bill Acceptors can I put in my IGT PE+ Slant-Top Video Poker Machine?
I've been told that the DBV-200 is a good upgrade, and fits in the same housing, but they are hard to find.
I've also been told that with some work, some of the WBA models can go there, and I think that's what I want to do, but it would really be great to hear from somebody who's done this kind of conversion before.
I'm pretty good with electronics, but all the slight variations of similar products has me a bit confused.

Please help.

A DBV 200 is a good replacement.
Let them that don't want any, have memories of not getting any.

Another vote for the DBV-200.  You already have the physical stuff you need for it in the cabinet (cash can, housing, wire connections, etc.).  You'll need the DBV-200 assembly and its power supply, since the DBV-145 power supply doesn't have enough juice to power the 200.

Last I checked they're not that "rare" or super difficult to find.  Contact some of the vendors listed on the front page of the site, or create a new "WTB" (Want To Buy) post for a DBV-200 replacement for your IGT PE+ slant top machine, and I can move it to the classifieds section for you.

Please do not PM me for support or "how to" requests -- please post your request in the forum so that everyone may assist you and everyone can benefit from the answer to your question!  Thanks! :)
