Parts required:
Key Chip 31 (will work just about anyone adding a printer, there is always a chance you might need a different key chip.
FutureLogic Gen1 printer make sure they include the printer harness that plugs into the printer
Top box printer harness its about 8 inches long and plugs into the power dist board Netplex connector and the harness that came with the printer
Top box printer bracket that matches your printer if not a Gen1
Printer bezel for your brand of printer.
Short player tracking bracket and front cover not sure if short blank covers without holes for player tracking parts are available or not
Nuts that fit studs of top cabinet where printer bracket fits.
New tickets
Play off or cashout any credits on machine, if you do not do so key chip access will fail.
Power off the machine, this is critical since you are going to be connecting a high amp device to the 25V power.
Remove the player tracking cover by pulling out at the bottom There are 2 finger cutouts in the cabinet that can help you get a hold of it.
Remove award glass carefully by lifting it up and out at the bottom.
Look where the screws are located holding the player tracking panel in place and remove any reels that block access to the screws.
Unscrew player tracking bracket screws, the screws come up from inside cabinet
Adjust routing of left speaker wires so that they do not get pinched between top box and printer bracket.
Install printer to printer bracket if not done so already it will fit flush against the bracket at the back and make sure printer harness is connected to printer.
IF Gen1 that ribbon cable may get in your way.
Install printer in machine, helps to hold up front of printer so the bracket will clear the stud at front of top box.
Secure with 3 nuts (2 at the back wall of top box and 1 right front of printer.
Plug in the top box printer harness short one with 8 and 10 pin connectors to power dist box, 8 pin goes to printer. do not worry about the 3 pin it is not used per S2000 wiring diagrams.
Connect the 2 harnesses together.
Install short player tracking bracket (leave cover off for now)
Also get familiar with how to pull printer forward once its mounted to machine
Install any reels removed
You can do the key chip stuff now if you like
Power on machine and load tickets
The printer has a diagram how the tickets are loaded
Black marks up and the end with them goes into printer.
Key chip config:
Turn Power off
Remove MPU
Locate Base Chip (SB) and remove
Install Key Chip
Install MPU
Turn Power on
Wait for 2 Amber or yellow LED's
Turn Power off
Remove MPU
Remove Key Chip
Install Base Chip
Install MPU
Turn Power on leave the door open
After machine passes all self tests it will display [7 Key Config Menu]
7.2.2.1 Printer enable it
Wont worry about validation settings in this post wrong settings will disable the machine or make the printer unusable

Alternative to getting top box printer harness IF you have a true S2000 and not a vision or vision ready machine there is a printer harness in the wiring near reel 3 its the only 8 connector there it has a Orange and Black with orange stripe wires in it.
you can reroute it to the top box area you may have to cut some wire ties and the like to make it reach to the harness that came with the printer.
Also depending what main cabinet you have, you may have to undo a nut and let the left rear wiring and bracket hang down for printer bracket to fit properly.

Harness end That 3 pin is not actually used to power the printer there are 7 pins in the 2x4 Molex Micro-Fit Jr
2 are +25V and Ground and 5 for netplex.

Notice how the marks are up and at front of stack of tickets that is the end you insert into print head.
