Need Help With IGT/AC Coin Munny Returns

I have an s-2000/Ac Coin Munny Returns machine that had been working fine. Was off for sometime and when I had started it up it read change battery on the top screen. Went ahead and changed all 3 batteries. Battery in top box was almost dead other 2 were good but put fresh ones in. Now on start up I get BG000174 on the top screen and door open m and video display comm failure on the door. Any one know how to reset? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks

Try opening and closing the door multiple times.

Closing the door produces the reset to the main board and you may have errors backed up in memory.

All ready tried that. Also tried holding in the reset mounted next to the BV on those machines. Was told the small monitor may be bad. Will let you know how I make out. Thanks

Ed. Here is a real test for memory! This was 5 years ago. Do you remember what you did to repair this error message?

Never did figure it out. Sold machine as is.

I have the same machine with the same problem.  I will update you if I ever get it running.  Please let me know if you find the problem.

I have been discussing the same problem with another Munny owner.   He unplugged the ribbon cable and the power cable to his monitor, and his machine would still work without a video comm error.

Re seat the card in the top box behind the monitor.
