Triple Double Stars Reel Spin Volume

hi gentlemen. i have a triple double stars 5 line slot, that i can't lower the spin reels sound or shut it off completely. i have tried the setting but when i set it to off. its still the same. too loud. i also have a igt s2000 double gold that i have the reel sound set low and it works like it supposed to. but i can't figure out what is causing the triple double star reels to be so loud. oh by the way the game volume and everything else as far as volume goes works right. its just the dad gum reels. if anyone has any info on this, i would really appreciate it. thanks fellas.

Do you have credits on the machine? Some settings won't take with credits.

Is it the music volume that you can't adjust or is it just the reels are loud?
Need a picture of the MPU board.

I think he wants to know if it's reel noise like a motor  or reel spin music.

Is the sound coming from the speakers or mechanical noise of the reels themselves.  Also need to know the p/n of the MPU. It should end with 501,502 or 504.

its the sound of the reels themselves when spinning. its loud compared to my double gold. just looked at the board, had to remove the small media board to get to the p/n. the board p/n is 75510501 Rev A

A reel or reels can get noisy for various reasons including age, obstructions or a loose reel strip. These sounds can also come from using an MML2 adopter with sound simm on some MPU boards. For this particular problem you can shut the machine off, remove the adapter board and run the machine without it to see if the sound goes away or is reduced dramatically. For the first ones listed, check for obstructions or loose strips.

If it's mechanical loose strips and try reseating the clip on the shaft that holds the reel to the motor shaft. Also tighten the phillips head screws holding the motor to the reel housing.

just learned something. I pulled the multimeadia lite card off my mpu, put mpu back in slot, fired it up and now have a total different sounding machine. still have the reel sound with reel sound off in sound options. I did notice that reel 1&2 is louder than reel 3. reel 3 seems to be quiet. thanks for help, so far. learned something already.

The multimedia card will exasserbate reel noise due to a grounding problem on all but the last version of the S2000 MPU. There is extensive coverage on fixing that here in the S2000 forum. Look it up under reel noise

I just want to let you all know, that I really appreciate your help with this reel spin problem I had. I done the tie-wrap around the spokes of all 3 reels reels and that got ur done. I also want to thank you guys for letting me join the forum a few months back! Old slot reels sound like brand new. QUIET. Thanks again fellas!
