Need your opnion on this S2000 before I start ripping parts out

5 reel S-2000 came to shop with dee-doo sound upon power up.
Both batteries were good.
Display said RAM ERROR.
Did JP / test button routine but back to dee-doo RAM error after procedure.
Customer said he caught wife yanking out power cord to turn off machine then plugging back in without using power switch.

Found BASE chip leads very corroded so put in one, same number, with clean legs.
New chip was a 4096 not 4002.
No change except now no dee-doo
Board shows red LED lit on left side of yellow lights.

4096 Chip? I've only ever used 4002.. Have you tried the board with another 4002? Is the MPU a 500 series or something else since this is a 5 reel game?

usually a red LED indicates some thing with the software boot up,  since you were working around the base chip, it could be something with that chip,
once you get it back to the original problem, clearing the machine may correct the problem.

I'll try cleaning the legs on the original base chip and see if I get back to the dee-doo.

I have only one more problem now.
Had to replace the main board, it was bad.
Had to replace the EEPROM on the backplane as it reported bad even after the new board and trying to run a 17 key chip.
Then set it up as upright and basic accounting denomination as 5 cents, it has a 5 cent hopper.
I updated the bill validater to take the new hundreds.... CRC mismatch clear was done by disabling the BV the re-enabling.

My ONE MORE PROBLEM.

This machine has a touch panel on the front to allow for 5 cent, 10 cent, 25 cent, 50 cent denomination play.

I don't know how to set the other 3 denominations.
I can go into keychip setup and to the button denomination options but I cant change the ---- displayed to another denomination.
How do I set all 4 denomination options on the machine and allow for touching the denomination on the touch panel to get it to change.
Setup reports button 1 is set for 5 cents. Buttons 2 thru 4 not assigned.

The machine has zero on the  display.

You have to set payback percents for each player denom option before it will allow those options to activate

How do I set that?
Do I need to use a key chip or just go into key chip mode?
The basic denomination for accounting is 5 cents.

You will need to use the key chip. Your lowest player denom has to be equal to or less than the accounting denom. You can not have an accounting denom of 5c & player denom of 1c for example. A clear chip is required to change the accounting denom.

I did use a key chip to set the accounting denomination and player denomination to 5 cents but how do I tell the game it has 4 denominations but uses a 5 cent hopper and coin comparator?
5, 10, 25, 50

The game now takes nickles and pays out nickles but on the front touch panel only the 5 cent lights up.
