Help troubleshooting after safe clear red light
« on: November 29, 2017, 07:58:31 PM »
had a 88ff error on the machine. Took it to battery place to get new battery. Battery was at .65 volts

got the clear chips u48 and 28

Held down psuedio and test, turn power on. the lights flashed and had the CH.

turned off machine, reinstalled the machine chips, booted up fine. went to the 11d screen and did the settings. Machine worked great

started to get some issues like credit not showing up. red light on mpu board. pulled it out and pushed it back in worked. started to get hopper error pulled it out and push back in worked.

went in 11d screen to adjust progressive and after that it messed up

I out clear chips back to reset again. I hold the psuedio and test buttons and turn power on. it does not clear. it boots up normal saying copyright and all the other stuff. The red light under the reset button is on. tried pulling and pushing back in nothing
checked pins, they are fine. blew out the connectors, nothing

bad mpu board? bad clear chips?

88 (catastrophic failure). Recently encountered this. Safe ram clear fixed it temporarily but error returned repeatedly. Had to replace the MPU.
Quality doesn't cost. It pays.
