IGT S2000 Reel Glass Lights Out

Walked in and noticed the reel glass fluorescent light was out on the Double Diamond Deluxe 3 coin multiplier.

Put in a new F15T8 lamp but it still didn't come on :Scratch-Head:

So I pulled out the white plastic 25VDC Transpower ballast up on the left wall next to the 1st reel and removed the 2 screws holding the cover.

I looked inside  :sherlock: and saw that a transistor was blown in half at the Q2 location on the ballast circuit board. :burningresistor:

I'm going to solder in a new transistor and see if I can get it working again? :cool_thumb_up:

I ended up going with these.. Took about a month to get them they are made to order but couldn't be happier! I went 100% LEDs so this worked great

I had to cut down the tabs a little where they go into the metal frame on the machine but you remove the ballast and plug the wires together, bypass the ballast and no fade spots at all

No I bought 2 of them they were like 66.00 each I believe.  They are 69.00 each. I just added 2 to the cart and checked out. I received an email from them saying it would be like 3 weeks to ship to me because they are made to order. I wasn't in a hurry so I didn't mind. I don't know if they changed the min order now but they did mine and I only bought 2 of them.

okay thanks...that certainly answers our questions.  :yes:

I find it hard to spend $69 for a belly light during a pandemic but that's just me.
I'm just a poorly paid guy trying to fix a ballast with a .66 cent part...haha  :rotfl:
