The bb1 platform is really good.  There are a couple hundred bb1 compatible titles available and are easy to find.  I'm sure you will have a lot fun with it.

Yes I've noticed many games out there for it that I would love to play I just wish there was a way around searching for glass to match. I wish I could just add a monitor up top and it would display the glass graphics the same way my bally alphas do but I now know that's not really an option.

Actually, if you add a media player with a top screen it's pretty easy to use graphics to make it look good.

I second the media player option.  Plus if you do that, you are 1/3 of the way for your bb2 conversion.

The TSE is used for dual screen games, you can buy and add a media player with a VGA output cheap (ebay?) and use that for single screen games with the graphic of your choice.

Right now your TSE board (if you have one) uses a VGA output, just like many computers use to send the signal to their monitors.

I use an A/B switch to switch between the vga output of the TSE or the vga output of the media player for the image on the top screen.

It’s pretty simple, find or make an image file, put it on a USB stick, plug the stick into the media player and send the image to the top screen.

Perfect, I have a few monitors I'm not using and I just bought the media player. What you said to do in that respect sounds simple enough but I'm curious where you're finding the images at? Will any photo do?

Any image will do, just format it 800x600 if using a 4:3 monitor or 1366x768 if you are using a widescreen monitor.

OK, I've got the media player and monitor installed. As you can see in the photo I went a slightly different direction and ended up using a 18" monitor up top mostly because it was easy to mount it in the given space and because I had another bb1 monitor bezel that fit too perfectly not to use it. What do you guys think? Good, bad or ugly?

Looks good, nothing wrong with that. 

Now you can change the display to match whatever game is installed in the machine, a lot easier than buying glass for each game.

Thanks. i really appreciate the suggestion about the media player, it was super simple to do. I have a widescreen monitor that I'll probably install one day but for now I'm okay with it as it is.
