I'm building out a 17" Game King. It's a 25 pin cabinet, now running a 3902 MPU. I had to replace the CRT setup it was bad. I picked up a 25 pin LCD assembly. After putting all the parts together and doing the normal setup stuff, I moved on to the monitor adjustments. This is when i noticed I could not adjust the lines on the monitor. They run thru the whole screen from top to bottom. I used the control board on the LCD, as well as checking for setting in the game menu. The lines are not bad, but I tend to be a perfectionist. :dancing_2:
Thanks, Gary

Does the monitor have a brightness or contrast adjust/setting? Maybe reducing the brightness a little will help. But you've probably tried all of that. Were the lines also present in the other monitor or was it bad in a way that it had no display?

The CRT was so dark you could barely see the screen. I had to install a back plane mother board, because this was a 044 machine before I received it.
I did go thru all the monitors setting, brightness, contrast, 044/3902 setting, plus what ever else is there with little to no help. I'm kind of wondering if it could be in the games PXLF information?

Was there any settings on the monitor for things like interlace, horizontal freq or refresh, etc? Or maybe an "auto" setup while the game is running and the monitor will adjust itself to the game video? What kind of video connector does the monitor use to connect to the machine - SVGA, HDMI, RGB, etc?
Can you try that monitor on something else like a computer or another machine to see if it does the same thing? If it doesn't then you know the problem is probably related to the game or machine.

I just want to close this thread.. I did an auto configure on the new monitor and it cleared up my line issue.. I thought I had already tried this, but I guess I didn't or it didn't work the first time. I now have a great picture..
Thanks.. Gary

Glad to hear you got it working. That automatic adjust feature is really handy to have.
