Title: Has anyone done a LCD monitor conversion from CCFL Tubes to the LED strip lighs?
Post by: Amechanic on July 06, 2017, 12:12:05 PM
I was just reading the thread on doing the conversion on a LCD monitor frm  the CCFL Tubes to the LED strip/tape lights.. Has anyone here done this? I was wondering how the get wired up inside the monitor? The thread does not show or explain in detail how this is done.. I have a 22" computer monitor that just quit working, and was thinking of try this conversion.. It's a $100+ for a new monitor, but if it can be fixed for a fraction of this< I want to try it.. It will be good practice for if a Game LCD monitors dies.. Here is that thread..

I have done this several times and all I have ever done is tap into the 12V feed by soldering the leads onto the power source.
