So I have a lovely Leopard Claw machine. My first S2000 machine and easily my favorite in the collection. I have seen this this should support (and can hear in the MMLB test) reel spin music and the newer tones for credit in and out. Mine has the jungle beat and roar in the bonus mode, everything else is legacy. I am trying to figure out what needs to be done to push this machine to its full potential.
I have done extensive reading on the subject and will offer a few things to rule some common ideas out.
In Sound options I have Solenoid sounds as mechanical or speaker. Reel sounds On or Off. In the Multimedia menu It shows a stereo or mono option. There is no menu that offers an "Enhanced" option.
It is a 45 credit game not a 90
The sound chip is a DSV00116
When I run through the MMLB test I can hear the sounds in question.
Attached are some photos of the main board and sound chip. Any suggestions would be fantastic.

Leopard Claw has it's own dedicated sounds due to the bonus round and DSV000116 is the latest sound card for it. I doubt you can make any changes.

Well drat. Thank you tho. Saw a youtube video of someone who had put a Cleopatra DSV in their Leopard claw and it sounded amazing. May have to give that a try.
-
What's the link to the you tube. Maybe we can figure it out. There are older sound simms out there but cleo and leopard does use the same simm.

Thought that setup was pretty cool.

Neonkiss is a member here so you can send him a message -- but I think he is in FL so might not get a quick response.

i show leopard claw and cleo use the same sb chip so should be capable of using the same simms. there is tho an sb that does not support enhanced sound. my cleo had this chip and i was not able to get enhanced sound working.
-
That is a good thought and gives me another another idea to try to chase down. Finding some old threads on Cleopatra with similar complaints. I am currently running SB100936
-
You need SB100104 it will allow enhanced sound like that youtube vid.

Sixcardmark
Alrighty. Ordered one and will look forward to giving that a try. Is there any good documentation or thread that discusses this sort of thing with the S2000? Looking at it all a little confused and trying to sort it out in my head. This is also the first reference I have seen to that particular SB trying to do more research but all I see is folks selling it.
Thanks

This chip was recalled. Award glass was recalled also. They changed total free spins from 990 to 196. Enhanced spin sound (except for bonus round) was no longer an option with replacement chip for unknown reasons. There was also some setting that would cause machine to malfunction (in casino use only, no problems for home use). I have some docs on that somewhere but not on the enhanced sound. I will look for them.

I love it. Thank you so much!
-
You are welcome.
-
Here's the doc. Guess you could make it malfunction with home settings.
-
Good to know. Looks like an easy one to avoid. Will I need to reset the machine when I pin the new stepper or will it be more or less plug and play?
-
plug and play. May need to turn reset key a time or two but I don't remember having to do anything but going back into settings and enabling the enhanced spin sound.
-
Anyone know what SB is used for the 90 credit version as in Neon's you tube?
-
I would try SB100334. Not sure.
-
Thanks Mark .. If I had only looked at the list you posted it would be easy to figure out. Ken

On rare occasions i have lost the denom settings and machine type after swapping the sb. Sometimes you can set these without needing the key chip. Because its the same game tho I don't think you will have any problems.

FYI --
I played around with the SB100104 and SB100334 chips today using a 43 simm. Didn't try the 116 since I probably should be cutting pastures than playing with slots today.
Both will allow 98% payback. The "replace with" chips on the list above that Mark provided have a 92% max payback.
Both will allow preferred/enhanced settings.

Well I was excited to find in the mail today my order from JJ slots then deflated when I saw. "SB100104 called back and replaced with SB101568. So instead of emailing me to clarify what I wanted, he just sent me some random replacement chip that doesn't work at all. YAY!

That sucks! I would make you one if I could. PM sent.
