Sigma SG150 - Reels Won't Stop Spinning?
« on: November 21, 2014, 08:15:00 AM »
Hi guys and gals,
I'm new to the site and although I've owned and worked on several WMS 40X machines I'm new to the Sigma SG150 machines.

I just bought 3 of these games and all of them power up, and start there self test mode then the reels start spinning and won't stop.

Reset key does nothing, and I've done a RAM clear already, still nothing.

Voltage is 5, 12.5 and 25.

Attached is a link for a video of a guy with the same Sigma in start up working properly, also attached is a link for a video of my machine in start up and getting stuck with the wheels spinning.

I'm kinda lost, any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Turns out I breezed right over the fact that dip switch 4 was turned on, which is looking for a casino card reader in the top cage (machines use to have them, but were removed).

If you hear of this problem again, there's the answer.

Thanks guys for your help!

Forgot to mention I also turned off the hard meter check.
 Dip switch 2-10.
At the same time so the problem could have been caused by either one.

FYI....I have a Sigma here that I am working on for a client...I have tried both settings of the dip switches mentioned above...Every time I change the dips, the machine works perfectly...If there was a wire broken or the meters missing the display would tell you that so you could turn off 2-10...As far as 1-4, that is for credits and how they are used...Does not make any sense that the machines would start working by change those dips unless by changing them reloaded the game software and then started to work..Not saying that mustangjeep is wrong, I am just pointing out what I have found...

Very true, I'm no expert.
I had three machines all doing the same thing. Changed the dips and all of them work perfect now.
Don't know why as all the hard meters are still there and intact.
But that's what happened with my games.

I really do appreciate the help and advise you gave me Jimmy!

Have fun!
