Duck has. A problem again
« on: December 18, 2015, 12:46:45 PM »
I changed the bad top box battery, got the key board out set it to default. This error come up on screen.  See pix,  I seem to have more trouble with this touch screen  than any of my other machines.

I'm no expert but it appears your hard drive and or the software on it went bad. See if you can get a hold of Lindlam, he's really good with the reel touch machines

Try going into the setup screen and tell it to load default settings with your keyboard.  If this doesn't work then you may need a new hard drive.  I don't have a reel touch anymore but you need to hit either one of the Function keys or DEL to go to setup on this when it boots up.  Ted

I fixed them all and moved on.  denver duck is just a over rated video game in bonus rounds and to long.

Here's the manual for the circuit board in the top box.  It may help.  Sizzler is right.  Lots of problems with these.  I had two and they are long gone now.

Try using a ps2 keyboard like Sizzler said above and set the defaults again.
It is asking for the CD to load the drivers for a USB keyboard I suspect.
Also if you have type 1 bios (finger) do not try to read the hard drive with your computer it will change the drive letters and render it useless.

You can not use a USB keyboard. Must be PS2. Charles is SO right, I still have 6 R/T's and some will never be working machines. the top box  motherboards are garbage and have more issues that require way to much time and effort then they are worth.
If it ain't broke.....Stop trying to fix it.

Gary,
In order to use the set up CD "windows embedded" operating system must already be loaded and working on the hard drive. Better to just purchase a replacement drive already loaded (Clone from a working HD unit)
Enjoy your Grandchildren and we will pick up when you return.  :merryxmas:

Looking at all the posts, Are you saying this game worked and the battries went dead?. When batteries go out on these(working) normally you have to just do a factory re-set.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it looks like the hard drive isn't set as the primary boot device
