How to set-up Zorro USA
« on: March 09, 2017, 02:00:32 PM »
Hi,

For some reason I cannot set-up a Zorro (MK6USA) game (0151372).
The game boots up OK, but I cannot clear the static RAM.

It's a 20 line 5 multipl. game (with ante 10). So max bet = 150

I set it up using "Alberta" and set-chip version 06.03.04
Gamble=no
Mystery=no
20 lines (+10), 5 credits (max bet 150)
Game variation 99
Progressive trigger = Disabled

I've tried a bunch of other stuff, but can't seem to get this zorro game to work :(

I have no idea about these things (USA system/set chips etc.), but is it meant to be set up as a Cashman type game? AFAIK others with the giant bash button like Lil Lucy/Foxworthy are considered Cashman games as well. It's interesting that you say 20 lines, as the ones in Australia have 25 lines + 10 ante bet for the bash button. Zorro has a built-in (standalone) progressive jackpot as part of the game.

Glad to hear you got the touchscreen hooked up! Zorro will definitely need it once it's running (on a side note, I've never actually seen a Zorro game in an MVP cabinet, it's always in a MK6 Xcite over here).

Hi Heihachi!

Thanks for your reply!  Good thinking, it could be considered as a cashman game indeed!  I will try to set it up like that! My machine is a converted MK5. That's why it is in an MVP cabinet.

Again, thanks!

Thank you very much for the info! This helped a lot!

It seems Cashman 30 is the correct game type indeed!
Now I can clear the static RAM and set-up the game. However, I get an error: "Invalid Jackpot Startup - Call Attendant".. Any ideas how to fix this error?

Thanks!!

If I remember correctly, after you have performed your clear and configuration, the first page that pops up is the Jackpot configuration page, leave as the default and save

Hi Harp,

Thanks for replying!

I did not see a jackpot menu popping up. However, I am using sw version 01.04.10.
In your earlier reply, I see the game uses sw 01.02.xx or 01.03.xx. Maybe I should use that sw.

I will try tonight and let you know!

P.S. I see the "Progressive Level Set-up" in the operator menu. I left all those settings default and saved them. But the error keeps popping up.
By the way, when I choose "game variation 99" in the set-chip menu, the static ram cannot be cleared. When I use 3 or 4 it can be cleared. Does these variation settings have something to do with the jackpot?

Thanks!

Your version of 01.04.10 is ok and you should be using Set Chip Target version 06.03.xx

See the attached sheet for assistance on percentages and Jackpot levels

Hi Harp,

Thanks again! I guess the game variation will differ on a per game basis.
So it should make sense that the Jackpot will not start when an incorrect variation level is chosen.

I will try the various options tonight and will post the results!

Thank you, I really appreciate your help!

Cheers!
