using PSP on windows7 64bit Os

my setup:
Asus laptop with windows 7 64bit Os
USB to serial interface : Trendnet TU-S9

Dos software:
download Dosbox
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/dosbox/DOSBox0.72-win32-installer.exe?download

install USB-SERIAL first
config COM1 port
device manager/Ports/select COM1 (note: it installs with COM3 , so you need to change it )

install Dosbox
open program filesx86...looking for Dosnobx folder and open "DOSBox 0.74 Options"
scroll down and find "Serial1=Dummy"
modify it with Serial1=directserial realport:com1

ok done with modification

now place new folder in C: and rename it PSP
install PSP software in to same folder

ready to go
open Dosbox and type: mount c c:\psp [enter]
c: [enter]
PSP [enter]

you should see 2 Dosbox windows...the first one is the status windows which show that everything is correctly loaded
also serial1: opening COM1

thats it.
works 100% for me.

update:

if you want to spare time typing mount c c:\ ect ect and you want to open with one click your PSP software.
open again your DOSbox folder in program files x86...open DOSBox 0.74 Options
After you've done this scroll to the bottom where it says [autoexec], type the following:

mount c c:\psp
c:\
psp
exit and save

open Dosbox and your PSP software will load automaticly

Regards,

Alberto

XP Virtual mode does not work on some lower version of windows 7(like mine). but i found a youtube video on how to get around that..

I Think that is why when I updated the PC used for the slot stuff to Windows 8 I installed the 32 version on it and the 64 bit on my Main Computer which runs OS X more than Windows 8
At least Windows 8 asks you if you want to enable the 16 bit when you run a 16 bit program on the 32 bit version.

A USB to Serial Adapter has at least one IC and some support components.

For Example:
I have 2 different USB to Serial Adapters.
One has the 9 pin Com port connection for EIA232 (RS232) devices
The other one only does TTL serial for use with Arduino or other compatible micro controller boards.
