Title: Can someone identify this machine? I'm looking for a repair manual.
Post by: deejaycee_2000 on September 22, 2016, 01:15:42 AM
Hi Guys

I'm new to this site, all the way from South Africa. I bought this machine on a auction and looking to get it working for my man cave. It looks to be in good shape for it's age but has a few loose wires on the inside. I haven't plugged it in yet as it states 110V on the side and our power here is 220V ... so I am looking for manual I can study so I can go through the machine before putting it on and getting it going.

Can anyone Identify this machine and maybe direct me on where I can possibly get a repair manual from?

It's not IGT, I'd stick with Ainsworth. IGT took in machine on trade in that era to get them off the casino floor and re-furbished them and then sold them. Not sure of the model from 1984 but many machines had transformers where you could change the tap from 110V to 220V with no other converter. All my Ainsworth manuals are much newer than your machine.

1st thing I would do is get rid of that dog that ate your couch,.... or was that a lion.

I may have found a source for a manual but it's from a post on our old site from 2012. I'm hoping the original poster will reply to me. His machine looks similar so even it it's not exact, it may help... provided his e mail address is still good.

So far I've only found this one but you have to buy it.  The machine type looks close to yours. You may want to e mail the people there to make sure.
There was another manual posted on the old site but I can't contact the OP. I'll keep looking though.

Mark,  Should figure out how to save that link to NLG. That's a good source for PDF manuals. For the $10.00 fee you get your self the manual you need. Not everything in life is free anymore. If NLG had something similar, then the fees would go to keeping the sight operational. Paying members could still get free down loads, but if you we not then you pay for the manual. It might promote more people to join our group?

I'm not even sure who the "slotdoctor" is and whether he may be here on NLG. I'll find the contact information and see who that it.
Yes I agree that $10 isn't a high price for that member for fixing that machine, especially with his circumstances being out of the country. I've seen that site before but have never used it.
