Title: E2000 questions
Post by: rjpohl on June 16, 2017, 01:46:38 PM
1.  Does wire in img_0304 go to door switch?  Is it needed??
2.  What is toggle switch in img_0303 for?
3.  From time to time the slot will accept coins (insert coin light is on), the coins go into hopper but no credits are registered, coin accepted light does come on and handle will not release.  If I turn off and wait a few minutes it will usually work fine when turned back on.

thanks
Bob

Looks like the loose wire broke off the door hinge switch. The empty terminal has solder on it. As for the toggle switch, I'm not sure what it for. I'd check to see if you have wires running to the side jackpot reset switch. Someone might have move them to the toggle switch.

You may also have some dirty pins on your power supply, buff them up with a pink eraser.

I soldered the wire back to door switch.  I also cleaned the power supply connectors.  Everything works pretty good except every once in a while the a couple of the reels don't spin when the handle is pulled.  Guessing I need to do a better job of lubing or is this an adjustment???
Thanks
Bob

Yes, remove the reels from the shaft, clean off any old grease and when re-installing use a light oil to lube up.
Also latch pawls should be lubed after a thorough removal of old grease.

I make sure that the cross shafts that the latch paws and other pivoting parts will spin freely. The only one that won't is the back shaft, but on that one I make sure the spacers do spin and move. I have used the heat gun on my soldering station to heat up pivots points to get old grease and oil loose to allow new oil in.
