Title: need help with a caille- reels never stop on payout holes

caille superior.  if i manually line up payout holes with fingers, pays out.  it never stops with a payout hole in the right place.  trying to figure out why

Dumb question, but are the strips calibrated to stop correctly? I have watched a video on changing to newer strips and it seems if you don't mark them in the correct spot, they wouldn't line up on the correct payout.
