Conversion machine complete with many thanks NXT 1 to 2
« on: November 19, 2017, 09:27:07 PM »

With many thanks to various members and other help I have completed my conversion of a BB1 chop top.
[size=78%]

So of course I must post before and after pictures here. Along with pointers on what I customized.

In the hopper area, a power stip provides power for numerous extra power supplies, 1 for SAS(Bettor TITO), 1 for the extra bet button animator board, 1 for the mikohn progressive(not implemented), 1 for each monitor, and lastly 1 for a raspberry pi zero to serve up glass for NXT 1 use.

On the inside picture, clearly visible are the Kristel monitor brackets, 3 on the bottom and 2 on top, the monitor casing was cut into to provide clearance with the main door switch actuator and latch. On the center brace is a xbox 360 power supply adapted for the Kristel monitor, that power brick is a beast with 17 amps and 12v of clean voltage available.

The classic RCA indian head test pattern is projected using the raspberry pi server, administered from a local desktop computer. Glass is easily changed for various games. The customized OS on the raspberry zero is Screenly, which on bootup provides the admin IP.

In the before picture shows the terror of mismatched glass with my game of winning bid.

The top monitor is the NEC of much infamy around here.

The outside features a custom bezel made of wood, it's clean and looks amazing.
