OK I think we need to start in the beginning.
 :NLG_WELCOME:
Some important ground rules do not unplug or remove anything electrical from the machine with the game turned on EVER.

1)Has the machine ever worked outside the casino?
2)Did you buy it as a working machine or a "Parts complete" machine.
By the looks of it I believe it came right off the casino floor and nothing was done to it. Half of that wiring will be removed before this is done.
3)Is there a dealer that you purchased it from or somewhere else?

4)The main MPU board is on the left hand side bottom half of the machine, remove the tray by pulling it (be careful as Buzz used to say you will only pinch your fingers once and then you will remember how to get it out without hurting yourself)  and snap us a picture of the circuit board so we know what chips you will need below.

5)You will need to get a Clear and a Key chip for your machine if you don't already have one. (Many vendors here can help you with that)

6) Does it have coin handling(validator and coin hopper) or just bills?

Lets get the machine working first then we will move on to the progressive.

Depending on your answers I may move this back to the s2000 board until we get the machine functional

Ok

1. The machine was a purchase from an individual and has not worked from when I bought it except to power up and perform a self test and display a c9 error. The machine then goes though some bill validator self tests and repeats every so often.

2. It came right off the casino floor of the Trump Plaza when they closed and has most of the hardware except keys, locks and a hopper. I ordered Bettor Tito and he made a key chip. I don't have a clear chip.

3. As  I mentioned It has a bill validator and a coin comperitor. Not sure if the software is up to date on the bill validator or if it even works.

I'll snap a picture of the board.

Thanks for your help!!

OK great I'm going to move this back to the s2000 board until we are ready for the progressive that way others can help.
You should not need a clear chip the key should be all you will need for now.
I would not install the TITO until we get the game working first if you haven't done so already.
If you are handy with soldering and working on circuit cards the first thing you can do is remove the green varta battery you do not need it and it just leaks alkali and ruins the board. Some just clip it off but be careful there are very small traces underneath that get damaged easily
Also check the voltage of the yellow battery you need that one and it must be above 2.7 volts.

The 2.85 volta is borderline too low on the battery. I would start by replacing it...

With the machine turned off open the door, on the door there is a circuit card mounted at a 45 degree angle. This is the door I/O card it has a molex plug going in to it. It also is plugged into the door. Pull it out and check that there are no bent pins ( there are a lot of pins) if all is OK reinstall and try to power up the machine. Also try lifting the door latch and lowering it a few times to clear stored errors. The card may be bad and causing the issue.

Make sure that the belly glass door is fully closed as there is a switch that detects the door is closed. This switch should be defeated as it tends to cause issues. Sometimes just pressing the belly door closed the last eighth inch is enough to bring the game to life.
Also 99.25 credits?? Picture please.

Credits will clear if you remove the battery or run a clear chip procedure. A low battery can cause the machine to start throwing errors that aren't actually there, but the coin jam error could also be an IO card problem as stated previously. IO cards are VERY susceptible to static shock and power surges.

Alright things are going well. Will it accept any bills at all?
If it will and the game plays we can move on to installing your TITO.

You need the main door sensor but you can disable the belly door and the bill can door sensors.
Open the belly door on the left side there will be a white connector plug with 2 green wires. One side of the plug will go up to the belly door switch just remove them from the switch and connect them together. Insulate as required so they won't touch anything else.

There will be a pair of wires inside the cash box door I think they are blue and green, again connect them together and you have now bypassed the cash box door.
