White screen
« on: June 16, 2016, 03:42:17 PM »
Hey Guys

I picked up a IGT Slant top poker machine, go it up and running (it had to be reset chip038) had the game up for two days, while it was on, all of a sudden it now displays a white screen and some very faint monitor flicker. any Idea?

Does the game still work (ie. if you drop in coins, do the buttons light up as they previously did and/or do you hear sounds when inserting coins)?  If so, that sounds like a problem with the monitor more than the game itself.  If that is indeed the case, let us know here and I can move this post to the monitor repair tech support section.

Can you post a picture of the screen? On a CRT, it would seem to me your raster may be being overdriven

It froze when I tried to add pics, but the coins drop thru to the bucket, no sounds, reset and jackpot aren't doing anything, and I noticed the fluorescent bulb on the side next to the monitor is off now, I checked the 3 fuses in the back above the mainboard they're good, so not sure what happened. but monitor is just like I stated White, with a slight flicker. Thanks for any help.

Could be power supply issues. Either something dragging it down or it has an issue of it's own. Have you measured voltages on the outputs to see if all voltages are there and correct?
